Mousquetaire Widowmaker unveiled for Overwatch Archives event

O Overwatch The archives event always takes players on a journey into the past. But this time, it looks like some skins are going very, very far behind.

The Widowmaker skin for the 2021 Archives event, which starts on April 6, is the first to be revealed.

Mousquetaire Widowmaker turns the sniper into an 18th century sniper. His outfit is inspired by the legendary French mousquetaires, also known as musketeers. Widowmaker’s usual outfit was replaced by a tunic with a fleur-de-lis and she now wears a musketeer’s hat complete with an extravagant feather.

His normal weapon, the Widow’s Kiss, received a retro update to suit Widowmaker’s old suit. The high-tech rifle now resembles a musket, with gold accents and wooden finish.

The musketeers were known for protecting the royal family and for being bold and charismatic warriors. Widowmaker may be borrowing their dramatic style, but it will probably just be protecting itself.

O Overwatch The Archives event typically focuses on a single “Archives” PvE mission, which puts four players in scenarios that were important to Overwatchpast. Although many fans may be expecting a new scenario, stay tuned, as the development team is working hard to develop missions like these for Overwatch 2 and new content may not be available.

New challenges and skins, however, are absolutely guaranteed. All new cosmetics will be revealed when the Overwatch The archives event starts on April 6.
