Super Nintendo World – the new theme park about to open at Universal Studios Japan – is being recreated in Minecraft.
The Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan is still scheduled to open on February 4, but the number of visitors will, of course, be limited at the opening to avoid crowds and early registration is mandatory.
Thanks to Dippy22, however, Nintendo fans who happen to also be Minecraft players can live indirectly during their painstaking recreation based on plans and photos of the new theme park. The 1: 1 remake is apparently 45 percent complete and the images show an incredibly faithful tribute that hopes to have “3D models of each unique design that this terrain has to offer” (thanks, PCGN).
“I just started this new venture and any experienced help would be welcome,” adds Dippy.
As Japan is not yet granting tourist visas, for now, most of us can only have fun by visiting the virtual tour on the Super Nintendo World website.
