Mossimo Giannulli loses bid for early release from prison

Lori Loughlin’s stylist husband will have to freshen up a little more in prison.

On Tuesday, a federal judge rejected fashion guru Mossimo Giannulli’s offer to be released under house arrest, saying there was “no extraordinary or compelling reason” to do so.

Giannulli – arrested along with his wife in the national college admission scandal – tried to argue in court documents in mid-January that he had spent so much time in solitary confinement and quarantine in COVID-19 that it was already as if he had suffered his entire life. punishment.

Giannulli has been in prison for just over two months for trying to circumvent the system to place his two daughters at a prestigious university.

The stylist and his TV actress wife were arrested in a scandal that also caught several other wealthy parents trying to trick the system for their children with the help of illicit college broker Rick Singer. Actress Felicity Huffman was among those convicted in the scheme.

Loughlin spent two months behind bars before being arrested in December.
