Dow futures are rising on Friday, as the U.S. economy created 379,000 new jobs much larger than expected in February.
In the last episode of Mad Money, Jim Cramer said that there are different ways to identify the bottom of the market, but he thinks we are not there yet.
TheStreet’s Katherine Ross and Cramer are talking about Tanger’s short squeeze, the Tesla crash and the GameStop overhaul.
Tanger: Buy or sell?
Actions of the Tanger Factory Outlet Centers (SKT) – Get report increased on Thursday, when the real estate investment fund that operates the factory’s outlet centers attracted attention in the Reddit r / WallStreetBets message forum, the forum that came up with the slight squeeze on GameStop (GME) – Get report shares.
Cramer said Tanger should not be short. “I like Federal Realty (FRT) – Get report and properties of Simon (SPG) – Get report. Those are better. Fed Realty is the largest shopping center company and has not reduced its dividends. You can go buy a lot of that and get a good income. Simon Properties is the largest shopping center company, but stocks have gone up a lot, so I want to be cautious. But those are the stocks you buy. “
“They [Tanger] if they did better than we thought, they did better with the payments, but they are at 90% occupancy and you need to increase. But you cannot bet on that. “
Tesla: buy or sell?
Ron Baron of Baron Capital Management told CNBC that he sold 1.8 million Tesla shares (TSLA) – Get report the past six months. Baron, who is chairman, CEO and portfolio manager for the New York company, sold the shares when he became a very large percentage of certain customer portfolios.
Baron said he expects the stock to reach $ 2,000 in the next decade. He said he sold the shares to reduce risk to customers, CNBC said.
Cramer said he would buy Tesla for $ 643 a share, the level at which technology stocks have been trading recently. “I know Tesla is changing. Ron Baron was doing portfolio management. This is a concept that a lot of people have lost because they are not portfolio managers. He could feel the pressure of having too much Tesla. I see what he is doing and I think it’s very smart, but people won’t see it that way. [Baron] is doing the right thing … The stock has dropped … It’s time for Cathie Wood to put a fund in Tesla. “
GameStop: buy or sell?
Cramer reviews some of the main stocks on highshortinterest.com, a stock database with a selling stake of more than 20%. The main actions include GameStop, Tanger and Rocket.
Cramer said that we need Ryan Cohen to use the 5000 [GameStop] stores to become the best place to buy GPU cards, like the ones Nvidia is launching, to encrypt. “They should just turn into a crypto mining store. And then tie-in with Square to buy some and make them the place to learn about cryptography.”
