Morgan Wallen was released by the talent agency amid racial drama

Morgan Wallen was dismissed by WME, his talent agency, amid ongoing drama surrounding his use of racial slurs.

The 27-year-old country musician was recently captured on video using the n-word and has faced huge repercussions ever since.

Some of his country contemporaries condemned his actions on Twitter, while his record label, Big Loud, suspended his contract and iHeartRadio removed his songs from the radio.

In a major success on Wednesday, the Academy of Country Music announced that it would not qualify for the awards of the year.

WME and Wallen representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment.

Wallen had already apologized for using slander.

“I am ashamed and sorry,” said Wallen, 27, in a statement shared with Fox News.

“I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slander that I would like to be able to remove. There is no excuse for using that kind of language, ever. I sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better,” he continued.

This is not Wallen’s first public scandal. Last year, he was seen at a party in a crowded house that seemed to ignore coronavirus security protocols a few days before a scheduled performance on “Saturday Night Live”.
