Several country music stars are attacking Morgan Wallen after he was filmed using a racial slur.
Singer Maren Morris used Twitter to express her feelings.
“In fact, it is representative of our city because this is not his first ‘fight’ and he just demolished a huge streaming disc last month. We all know that it was not the first time he used that word,”, 30, tweeted. “We keep them rich and protected at all costs, without resources.”

Fellow star Kelsea Ballerini added: “The news from Nashville tonight does not represent country music.
Lauren Jenkins, singer of “Running Out of Road” tweeted, “‘I promise to do better’ is how you approach exercise and healthy eating habits for yourself … not about casting racial slurs.”
The winner of the third season of “The Voice”, Cassadee Pope wrote: “I am completely disgusted with Morgan Wallens’ [sic] words. Being so irreverent and indifferent when launching the most offensive racial slander you could ever utter … some people have ZERO sensitivity to a real shit problem in this world: racism. It has no place in country music and has been tolerated and activated for a long time. And it has no place in this world. “
Justin Fabus agreed: “That’s enough. If you agree or try to justify @MorganWallen’s latest behavior, there is no place for you in the country music community or in ANY community,” he tweeted.
“The hate is deep. Smfh, ”tweeted Mickey Guyton, who later added:“ How many passes will you continue to give? Asking for a friend. Nobody deserves to be canceled [but] This is unacceptable.”
“Promises to do better don’t mean shit,” she stated.
Wallen, 27, told Fox News that he was “embarrassed and sorry” for using the racial slur.

“I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slander that I would like to be able to remove. There is no excuse for using this type of language, ever. I sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better,” he said.
Morgan Wallen apologized after a video appeared showing him shouting racial slur. The video, which was first published by TMZ on Tuesday night, showed him outside a house in Nashville, Tennessee, shouting profanity.

Wallen’s remorse comes after TMZ posted a video of the “Wasted On You” singer’s return home on Sunday night with a group of friends. The clip shows Wallen walking up his garage while referring to one of his friends as the N word and using other bad words.
Since the video went viral, Wallen’s record company has announced that it has “indefinitely” suspended its recording contract.

“In the wake of recent events, Big Loud Records made the decision to suspend Morgan Wallen’s contract indefinitely,” the statement said.
Viacom-owned country music television channel CMT has also suspended playback of Wallen’s music. The company wrote in social media, “After hearing about Morgan Wallen’s racial injury last night, we are in the process of removing his appearances from all of our platforms. We do not tolerate or tolerate words and actions that are in direct opposition to our fundamental values that celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion. “
And the radio network, iHeartRadio, removed all of Wallen’s songs from their stations.

“In light of Morgan Wallen’s recent actions involving the use of racial injury, we made the decision to remove his music and content from our stations with immediate effect,” an iHeartMedia spokesman told Fox News.
A Wallen representative did not immediately return Fox News’ request for comment.
