More rain waves are expected for Sunday, few strong storms possible

ORLANDO, Fla. – The non-established pattern will continue to close the weekend and straight on Monday. The most widespread rains and storms will occur along and northwest of I-4 until Saturday night. Some storms can be severe. The greatest chance of severe storms will be along a paralyzed front across the northern counties of Marion and Flagler.

Harmful wind, heavy rain and lightning will be the main threats. A brief tornado will also be possible in the strongest storms.

Another chance for heavy storms comes on Monday, with another system advancing across the southeastern United States. The biggest severe threat will be northwest of I-4 on Monday for areas shaded in yellow.

Our unstable weather pattern continues for the next week. Next weekend, it should be drier, windy and a little colder.
