LAKELAND, Florida – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Publix is again working with the state of Florida to administer doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at selected Publix pharmacies. Sites in Indian River and St. Lucie counties are being added to the list of Publix pharmacies that administer vaccination, bringing the total number to 261 in 20 Florida counties.
“Our collaboration with Governor DeSantis continues to bring the necessary vaccine doses to Florida residents, and we are privileged to be part of this critical effort,” said Publix CEO Todd Jones. “With each new loading of the COVID-19 vaccine, we can serve more people and more communities in our home state.”
Eligibility
According to state guidelines, vaccines are being provided to individuals aged 65 and over. The state of Florida requires that individuals receiving their first dose of vaccine provide proof of residence that meets certain criteria. Residency requirements can be found at publix.com/covidvaccine/florida.
Commitments
Vaccines are only provided by appointment, while supplies last, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. It is not possible to make appointments by calling Publix or Publix Pharmacy. The system will be open in two days for scheduling times as follows:

Publix Pharmacy will administer the vaccine in the following counties while supplies last: Bay, Brevard, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Escambia, Flagler, Hernando, Indian River, Lee, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Okaloosa, Palm Beach, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Santa Rosa, Volusia and Walton. Customers can also use the online booking system to find out if appointments are available at a nearby Publix.
Costs and insurance
Vaccines are provided to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Health insurance customers will need to bring their insurance card for their scheduled appointment. Medicare members must bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
Publix pharmacies have also administered COVID-19 vaccines to eligible individuals in selected locations in Georgia and South Carolina. The company continues to communicate with states in its area of activity to provide COVID-19 vaccines as part of its distribution efforts.
