Monster hunter fans have a date with a newborn baby Rathalos on July 9, when Capcom is launched Stories of Monster Hunter 2: Wings of Ruin for Nintendo Switch and Steam.

The original Monster hunter stories was released in 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS, offering players a new way to interact with the powerful creatures in the series. Instead of hunting and killing, players steal eggs from monsters and make friends with monsters, using them to participate in turn-based battles. It’s basically a relaxed atmosphere Monster hunter games. Stories of Monster Hunter 2: Wings of Ruin launches players as the descendant of a legendary monster knight who must solve the mystery of the disappearance of the dragon-like Rathalos of the world alongside his own baby dragon friend. You can catch the new trailer at the 30-minute mark in Capcom’s streaming video Monster hunter event early this morning.

I’m looking forward to another player-centered Monster Hunter experience. Almost as much as I am looking forward to seeing the figure of Tsukino Amiibo accompanying the launch.
