Sharp-eared fans of the series heard Khezu’s scream in Monster Hunter Risetrailer for TGA 2020, but did not appear at that time. However, the “Charging Wyvern” was officially revealed in a new commercial for the game in Japan.
Check out the “Monster Hunter Rise Video Compilation of the Commercial TV Teaser ”below. This gives us a glimpse of Khezu at the 0:15 mark. Other than that, the commercial mainly consists of footage from the TGA 2020 trailer.
Khezu originally appeared in the first Monster hunter game for the PlayStation 2. The wyvern previously appeared in Monster Hunter 4 and Monster Hunter Generations. Did not appear in Monster Hunter: World.
We also took another look at the newly revealed monsters Somnacanth and Bishaten in the ad. Somnacanth is a Leviathan that looks like Mizutsune. Bishaten is a new Fanged Beast similar to Kecha Wacha and will have the ability to launch and store fruit.
Monster Hunter Rise it will not present new weapons, but it will present several new actions and movements for all fourteen weapons. Check out the gun trailers to see what’s changed:
Monster Hunter Rise will be released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021. A demo will appear for a limited time in January 2021.
