Monique Samuels is not blaming Andy Cohen for his departure from RHOP. While social media users criticize Cohen for appearing alongside Candiace Dillard in the fight between her and Samuels, Samuels does not share the same feelings.

During parts two and three of the meeting, Cohen interrogated Samuels and Dillard about what led to the fight. He allowed each woman to tell her own version of events.
In one segment, Samuels accuses Dillard of initiating physical contact by placing his hand on Samuels’ face. Cohen denies that this happened, although a clip from the production corroborates Samuels’ account.

Cohen also accused Samuels of lack of emotion about the incident, telling her: “You are very realistic and dry about the whole thing,” said Cohen. “Here we are, you have been thinking about this reunion for a year, you are face to face with her for the first time in a year, I find it strange that you are very emotionless about it.”
Furthermore, Cohen was not satisfied with Samuels’ release of his rap single “Drag Queens”, which references his fight with Dillard. Samuels defends the release of the song, explaining that it was part of his healing process. Cohen believes this makes the situation lighter and adds to Dillard’s trauma.

Social media users accused Cohen of being biased in his line of questioning against Samuels. They particularly disliked him referring to Samuels as non-emotional and stoic in his retelling of events.
Other media also shared the same feelings. During an interview with All About The Tea, Samuels came to Cohen’s defense, saying that he simply did his job, but admits that he would like Dillard to be considered the same standard.
“I think he did what he felt he should do, he didn’t want people to think that he was off the hook somehow and that he had to get in,” she said. “I would have appreciated if that same energy was directed to another direction from people who needed the same degree of treatment.”

Samuels also makes it clear that, despite her departure from the series and her problems with editing parts of the meeting, she says that she involved her co-stars in a plot to destroy her family, she does not blame Cohen. She still holds Cohen in high regard.
“I never had a problem with Andy,” said Monique. “We texted, he loves T’Challa, I sent him a bunch of children’s gifts, I got my Christmas present from him, I texted and thanked him for it. So we have no problems ”.
