Kyle Conner’s mom bought her 2019 Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus for free, or at least almost free after all the numbers were calculated, and that without fuel savings. You will be shocked by the numbers. If you were to add fuel economy, you could say that she really made money from the car.
In this recent video, we heard from Kyle’s mom (she doesn’t like cars) about her experience of owning a Tesla Model 3. This gives the average person an idea of what it’s like to own a Tesla, without having to deal with all the hardcore details and the language that most experienced and traditional reviewers like to introduce to you.
Although Kyle’s mother loved her Model 3, she decided to replace it with a brand-new Model Y electric crossover. Since it is the end of the year, Tesla is striving to deliver as many cars as possible. This means that the automaker is obliged to do whatever it takes to close a deal. Tesla doesn’t really offer incentives or discounts on its cars, but it can improve the deal by offering enough for your exchange that it’s hard to pass up.
Kyle reminds us that when he received an exchange quote for his Tesla Model 3 Performance, it was terrible. Usually, car manufacturers don’t offer as much as you might expect for an exchange. However, we saw some very good offers here and there, as well as a long list of bad offers.
In the case of Kyle’s mother, she ended up driving her Model 3 for free, thanks to how much Tesla offered for the exchange. Now, she is in a new Model Y for the new year. Remember that this is the best scenario, but it proves that this is possible, in part due to how well Tesla vehicles maintain their value.
