Missouri woman accused of posing with Nancy Pelosi’s name plate in Capitol riot

Federal officials accused a woman from Missouri of breaking into the US Capitol and posing with a spokeswoman for Nancy Pelosi’s spokeswoman during the riot.

At least three informants identified Emily Hernandez, from Sullivan, Missouri, to the FBI as the woman seen in videos and photos holding Pelosi’s wooden sign inside the Capitol on January 6, according to a criminal complaint.

Hernandez can apparently be seen in an ITV News video wearing sunglasses and a gray winter hat while carrying the nameplate and is surrounded by other supporters of President Trump, the complaint said.

An informant sent the FBI a photo of Hernandez’s Facebook page, apparently showing that it was inside the Capitol. A second informant shared an image of Hernandez’s Snapchat that appeared to show her under the Capitol dome, the complaint alleges.

Hernandez has not yet been arrested. She faces charges of illegal entry, disorderly or disturbing conduct and theft of federal property, the FBI said.

Authorities say more than 120 people were arrested in connection with the Capitol riot, which killed five people, including a Capitol police officer.
