Missouri Tigers number 20 is in the middle of a three-game losing streak and hopes to get back on track on Saturday against the South Carolina Gamecocks
Mizzou (13-6, 6-6 SEC) lost three in a row and four in the last 10. In the season his attack was solid, scoring 74 points per game. However, their defense has been a little better, allowing only the opponent to score 71 points against them. KenPom ranked them as one of the top 60 offense and defense after their recent skid. Xavier Pinson leads the team with 14 points per game, but Jeremiah Tilmon is probably the most dangerous player on the pitch. He averages more than 12 points per game and leads the team on the boards, with almost eight per night.
The Gamecocks attack (5-10, 3-8 SEC) was exactly the same from a statistical point of view as Mizzou’s, as they also score 74 points per game. But his defense has been difficult throughout the season, allowing opponents to score almost 80 points per contest. To make matters worse, AJ Lawson is really the only player that teams can set to stop. He averages more than 18 points per game, but only one other USC player is hitting double digits consistently.
Mizzou beat South Carolina by double digits the first time these two teams met in January. KenPom is giving Tigers a 59% chance to hit the road and win.

Spread points, totals, probabilities, trends
Spread of points: Missouri -3.5
Total of points: 151
Money line: Missouri -175, South Carolina +140
- Mizzou has been fighting the spread recently, ranging from 2 to 5 ATS in the past seven
- During Tigers’ losing streak, they yielded much more points than normal, and the over hit seven of the last nine.
- USC has had the same struggles against spread, ranging from 3 to 6 ATS in the past nine.
- The over took place in 15 of the last 20 Gamecocks games, so this has been a pretty safe bet recently.
The best bet
Missouri has fallen on the SEC ladder in the past two weeks, but if there is any chance of making a “hit” game, it is on the road against one of the league’s lower-level opponents.
To choose: Missouri -3.5
