Missing child found after Amber Alert search for stolen vehicle in Minneapolis

Minneapolis police said a child missing from an Amber Alert on Sunday night was safe.

No further details were available on how the police found the child. The amber alert has been canceled.

Officials said the missing child, 2-year-old Raylene Childs, was inside a 2003 Honda Pilot stolen from Block 500 on Avenida Hennepin near Avenida Central NE around 8:40 pm.

The police searched for about two hours until the child was located at around 10:30 pm. Police were unable to confirm exactly where the child was found. It is not clear whether the suspect allegedly involved in the incident was also taken into custody.
