Missing California woman issued a threatening warning to her family

A mother of three in California, who has been missing since early January, reportedly gave family members an ominous warning days before her disappearance – blaming her husband if anything happened to her.

“If anything were to happen to me, it would be Larry,” Maya Millete told relatives during a camp in early January, referring to her husband, Larry Millete, a family member at Fox News.

Maya Millete disappeared days later, on January 7, after scheduling an appointment with a divorce lawyer, the agency previously reported, citing family lawyer Billy Little.

The Chula Vista Police Department found no evidence of a crime in Maya’s disappearance.

“We certainly have people who remain crucial witnesses to his disappearance,” police spokesman Eric Thunberg told the media.

“We are in frequent communication with our regional partners on this case and we are working to identify evidence, locate it, analyze it and follow where to go,” said Thunberg.

Larry initially speculated that Maya had left Chula Vista to spend some time alone. He has since stopped cooperating with the police, officials said.

Maya’s brother-in-law, Richard Drouaillet, who was at the camp, told Fox News that Larry would blame Maya for his marital problems.

“He looked desperate, you know, ‘You have to listen to me. It’s her fault, it’s her fault, ‘”said Drouaillet, who Larry told him in a phone call last summer.

“He was more of an aggressor, trying to get us involved,” said Drouaillet. “He was trying to put us on his side, when we felt it was a lot of lies that he was telling us.”
