Miranda Lambert on the recent hit-and-run accident: ‘We skid really well’

Miranda Lambert is recovering from a car accident.

The 37-year-old country star went to Instagram on Thursday to report a scary moment on the road with her husband Brendan McLoughlin.

The “Bluebird” singer shared a handful of photos of a silver camper immersed in a sunset, as well as a photo of herself inside the trailer, her dogs napping together and a video of some of the damage the camper suffered during a trip recent.

“Guys, we went home to Nashville. A few days ahead of schedule,” Lambert wrote in the caption.

She said she stopped in Greensboro, Georgia, near Lake Oconee and chose to stay for another night “because it was so beautiful”.

After a night of making friends over dinner, the couple had an intense encounter on the road.

“Unfortunately, on the way home from Atlanta, a hole in a small car with temporary license plates was driving erratically and tried to squeeze between us and [a] semi truck going to 70 on I-20 W, “recalled Lambert.” He hit the airstream on the passenger side and sent us to the left lane. We skid very well, but stepped on the shoulder as soon as possible to assess the damage. “

“We are very grateful that nothing worse has happened. Our vehicle and trailer were driven, so we made a report and went home,” she said. “I called Mom right away to say that I know her prayers are always heard, because I know that she prays for us every morning around 4:30 am. Especially when we’re on the road.”

The singer also praised her boyfriend for keeping the trailer “quite stable because it was stolen”.

“Thanks to @airstream_inc and @southland_rv, we will be repaired and get back to our errant paths soon,” concluded Lambert. “Anyway, overall it was an incredible trip and we learned that we have a lot to see and a lot to be thankful for.”
