Miranda Lambert involved in a hit-and-run accident in Georgia

Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, were involved in a hit-and-run accident in Georgia on the way back to Nashville.

The 37-year-old country star announced the scary news on Friday on his Instagram. She followed the story with a series of images and videos from the trip, using the caption to explain what happened.

“Guys, we got home in Nashville. A few days ahead of schedule, ”she wrote. “On the way back, we stopped in Greensboro, GA to spend a few days off at Lake Oconee. I actually chose that location for one night because it mapped perfectly for our trip, but when we got there, I didn’t want to leave. We stayed another day because it was beautiful. (And we ran out of clothes and needed to wash clothes) I had to work too, so why not take a look while you zoom in? “

The “Gunpowder & Lead” singer said they were looking for a place to dine and found a hotel ten minutes from KOA camp.

“Unfortunately, on the way home from Atlanta, a hole in a small car with temporary license plates was driving erratically and tried to squeeze between us and a semi-truck going to 70 on I-20 W,” explained Lambert. “He hit the airstream on the passenger’s side and sent us to the left lane. We skid a lot, but attack as quickly as possible to assess the damage. No one was hurt thanks to the good Lord. But nobody stopped either, and the car sped off. “

She continued, adding: “We are very grateful that nothing worse has happened. Our vehicle and trailer could be driven, so we made a report and went home. “

Lambert believes that his mother’s spirituality was the divine intervention they needed that day. “I called Mom right away to say that I know her prayers are always heard, because I know that she prays for us every morning around 4:30 am,” she said, adding, “Especially when we’re on the road.”

She also praised her husband’s driving skills. “And @brendanjmcloughlin kept our trailer very stable when it was stolen,” she said. “Thanks to @airstream_inc and @southland_rv, we will be repaired and get back on our erratic paths soon. Anyway, it was an incredible trip and we learned that we have a lot to see and a lot to be thankful for.”

Lambert and McLoughlin are approaching their two-year anniversary after getting married in February 2019. Last December, the couple sent out adorable Christmas cards that included a collage of Lambert next to McLoughlin and his animals with message: “Merry Christmas from the farm. “

In November 2020, her husband also wrote a sweet note to Lambert in honor of his 37th birthday. He shared a collection of photos of the country singer, writing the caption: “I would love to wish a happy birthday to my amazing wife”.

“I’m not only grateful, but I’m very proud to be able to call you my wife,” he continued. “You are the most genuine and caring person I have ever met. The number of rescue dogs we have says it all. You go above and beyond to ensure that those around you are always happy. “

“The list of all the reasons I love you is endless, but there is one that holds a special place,” he added. “It’s how you stay true to who you are. No matter what obstacles life has put in your way, you have always remained true to your heart and that says more than you will ever know. I love you and I hope you have such an incredible birthday. “
