Minute Maid Park will serve as a vaccination mega-site again this weekend

HOUSTON – Minute Maid Park will again serve as a coronavirus vaccine megasite on Saturday, according to a tweet from the Houston Department of Health.

Vaccines will only be given by appointment and all slots are full at this time. People who have already made an appointment are being contacted to let them know about the new location, health officials said.

Authorities said they hope to be able to open new hours for Saturday’s clinic, and the information will be posted at houstonemergency.org/covid19. There was no indication of how many slots could be available.

More than 3,800 people were vaccinated when the city opened its first megasite at The Juice Box last weekend. Approximately 1,000 available times on the day of the event were completed in about half an hour.
