Mojang announced yesterday that Minecraft Dungeons Arcade the cabinets are in their path for arcades in North America for limited testing, with more cabinets arriving later this year.
Released last year for Xbox One and PC, Minecraft Dungeons it is a Diablo-as dungeon crawler located in the world of blocks Minecraft. Up to four players can enter together and fight waves of Minecraft enemies, like skeletons, zombies, and spiders. Now there is a new one, less convenient, I’m notsafe way to play Minecraft Dungeons. Just go to an arcade (during a pandemic) play the new Minecraft Dungeons Arcade games, developed by Play Mechanix and Mojang.
As explained in a blog post announcing the new arcade machine, Minecraft Dungeons Arcade will perform the action and gameplay of the original game and simplify things a little bit to make it work better as a cooperative arcade game. Players will even win different physical deals cards that they can collect and scan on the machine to obtain new powers, weapons, and pets.
The case also looks great and the game screenshots shared by Mojang are great. Everything sounds good. But I can’t imagine venturing out into the world right now, during the covid-19 pandemic, just to play an arcade game that other people may have just touched and touched moments before. Especially when this game is available at home and looks great there.

Mojang emphasized that they’re just sending lockers to arcades that “follow local health guidelines ”so as to help slow the spread of greed and mitigate risk. But maybe that could have waited until this summer, after more people went vaccinated?
