Would it be quarantined if Miley Cyrus was not in the headlines because of her comments on TikTok? Cyrus, remaining in the character, recently saw a video of Shawn Mendes and his girlfriend, Camila Cabello, singing his song, “The Climb”. For those not versed in Miley’s canon, the 2009 song is by Hannah Montana: the movie and it’s a nostalgic bop. Anyway, getting back to the point: Cyrus made a request to raise his eyebrows after Mendes posted the video to his TikTok account.
“We are going to make a trio,” wrote Cyrus. Yes, that’s it. No other context. It’s just Miley wanting to be with Mendes and Cabello, which, like, who doesn’t? But, as she is Miley Cyrus, she really decided to write this … on the internet … for everyone to see. Of course, Comments By Celebs captured and shared with its 1.6 million followers with the caption, “Difficult yes.”
Earlier this month, Cyrus commented on fans who told his TikTok followers that they would get married if Miley Cyrus commented on a video of them dancing and kissing. (This was just a video in the trend of fans promising to do something if Cyrus commented on his TikTok video.) Cyrus wrote the epic response: “I hope it’s better for you both than it is for me”, with an engagement ring, a skull, a black heart emoji and a “congratulations”. She was obviously referring to the divorce of longtime boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. The shadow!
So I am not surprised that Cyrus was so bold with Mendes and Cabello. And honestly, what does she have to lose? Strange things happened in 2020.
