A report emerged on Monday that Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin was diagnosed with COVID-19. Although the organization did not initially confirm the news, Tomlin did the same in a statement released on social media on Monday afternoon.

“I want to thank everyone who expressed concern about my health,” said Tomlin. “Happily I had minimal symptoms and I am grateful to be in good health. I want to thank the media professionals who knew about my situation and respected my privacy. It is very much appreciated.

“I will be back in the office soon, while I continue to work virtually from my home. Thank you for your support and good luck! “

The Steelers closed their facilities last week as a precaution, when several tests of the COVID-19 were positive.
