MiHoYo’s launch poll asking Genshin’s impact fans if they prefer Rosaria Original or “Trailer”

Genshin impact update 1.4

MiHoYo discreetly opened a poll asking Impact Genshin fans which version of Rosaria they prefer; after wide accusation of censorship.

As previously reported, Rosaria first appeared on the 1.2 story journey as an NPC during several scenes. She made her full debut as a playable 4-star character in the 1.4 Invitation of Windblume update, as part of Childe’s limited-time wish banner. The update is live, while the event itself begins on March 19. However, fans were quick to notice that her breasts had shrunk in size.

Although many feared it was a case of censorship or self-censorship; both from the Chinese government and the fear of online protests, other characters already had large breasts and had great sex appeal before. Since MiHoYo reuses the character’s ties and knits, it is possible that the character’s breasts were reduced in size to avoid cuts when attacking with his two-handed weapon.

Now, the megathread discussing Rosaria on the game’s official forums has been updated to include a new poll (around 13:15 ET), asking if people liked the change. This poll was not present during our previous report, and as shown in older post files.

At the time of writing, more than 970 people have voted whether they prefer the 1.2 Rosaria model from the Dragonspire update, its 1.4 “trailer”Model, or have no preference. Voting ends at the end of March 31 and users must log in to vote.

The character art on the game’s official website, trailers and banners still appears to be based on its original 1.2 design; although the angle does not mean that it is definitive. Whether this work of art or the model will be updated after the results of this survey remains to be seen. As of the time of writing, MiHoYo has made no formal statement on the matter.

In previous news, the Impact Genshin event held at Chinese KFC locations has been canceled due to high demand and large meetings.

Impact Genshin is available and free to play on Windows PC (through the official website), PlayStation 4, Android, iOS and, soon, Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
