Microsoft Whiteboard, a useful collaboration tool for students and professionals, is now available on the Google Play Store as a public sample. The application offers a free-form smart screen that can be used to “ideally create, create and collaborate visually through the cloud”. The tool has been available for Windows and iOS for quite some time and is now finally available for Android.
The Microsoft Whiteboard Play Store list reveals that the tool is designed for touch, typing, and pen input, and allows you to draw, enter text, or add sticky notes on a free-form screen. The app also offers Microsoft’s smart ink technology, which can turn your doodles into professional-looking charts and graphs automatically.
The screen is updated in real time, which helps dispersed teams to work together smoothly. Because it is a cloud-based solution, all of your notes are added to your Microsoft account and you can access them on any compatible device, including Windows and iOS devices, at any time.
If you are interested in trying Microsoft Whiteboard on your Android device, you can download it by following the Play Store link below. Please note that the service is not currently available for personal accounts and supports only educational and business accounts. Since the application is currently available as a public view, you can expect to encounter unwanted bugs and other problems. As some of the first reviews point out, in its current form, the Microsoft Whiteboard on Android is just a web application. But that can change when a stable version is released on the Play Store.
The preview of the Microsoft Whiteboard on Android comes just a few weeks after the company released a major update for its scanning application – Microsoft Lens. As part of the update, Microsoft not only gave the app a new name, but also changed its logo and introduced a number of new features. You can read more about it here.
