Unsurprisingly, Microsoft has launched a steady stream of improvements for Teams, Slack’s competitor for factor reduction. As noted by The Verge, the company gave a quick preview of a feature called “Dynamic View” that should make video calls with presentations much easier to view. When you’re on a Teams call with multiple participants, as well as dynamic content (such as a video or screen sharing), Live View offers a customizable view. The content of the presentation will naturally occupy most of the screen, but you can also pin the main participants next to it, such as the people who are presenting the call.
Currently, each participant appears in a small sidebar, which makes it more difficult to see the people who are actually conducting a presentation. Dynamic preview automatically optimizes content, but viewers can also customize it. Microsoft is also making it easier to see when a participant “raises their hand” in a video chat, as well as who is currently speaking.
