Microsoft may have fixed what was not broken with the Windows 10 BSOD printer patch

If you are the type of person who would like to know that a humble printer can make the screen of your entire Windows 10 PC blue, here’s a dose of schadenfreude to welcome you to the weekend: when Microsoft tried to repair For those blue screen issues with a Monday patch, the patch may not have gone exactly as planned – some users have begun to report that their printers would simply spit out blank pages or missing graphics.

Now, the company has released a second patch to address these issues as well (via ZDNet):

Microsoft has identified an issue affecting Windows 10 devices that applied the March 2021 security update released on March 9, 2021 and out-of-band updates released on March 15, 2021, and a resolution has been accelerated. Affected devices may receive unexpected results when printing from some applications or some printers. Problems can include missing graphics or solid colors, misalignment / formatting problems, or printing blank pages / labels.

Some users say it works and may even repair some additional computers with a blue screen. Some say they are still having problems. If you are affected, good luck to you!
