The components of the weather this weekend will add a sensation not very similar to that of January.
First of all, I know that we all yearn for a little sunshine in the winter. We will have that rare treat on Saturday, and probably even on Sunday.
Just below is a forecast of the computer model of total cloud coverage. I have found that it tends to appear more nebulous than reality. You can see areas of clear skies moving through Michigan on Saturday and maybe even early Sunday.

Knowing the general weather pattern for Saturday and Sunday, I would say that any area of Michigan could be very sunny on Saturday and sunny and sunny at least on Sunday.
What else do you consider a basic Michigan climate resource in January? How about wind? This weekend will have a very light wind for this time of year.
Early Saturday afternoon looks fantastic, with the sun and winds below 6 mph in most places.

Sunday’s wind will be slightly stronger, with occasional winds around 12 mph. There will also be times with winds below 5 mph.

Light wind, sun and little snow on the ground will help bring us a very mild weekend.
It won’t be a weekend of shorts, but the afternoons will be tolerable for those who can’t stand the cold.
Saturday afternoon, the thermometer will heat up to 30 degrees.

Sunday afternoon will be almost the same, or maybe just a degree or two colder.

If we want to have somewhat clear skies and light winds, we will have to endure somewhat cold temperatures in the early hours of the morning. Saturday morning will start in the cold adolescence and in their 20s.

Sunday is almost the same, with temperatures starting around 20 degrees.

I realized that I didn’t even mention snow? We don’t have a mentionable chance of snow until the end of next week.
It’s a great weekend to get out of Michigan if you’re heading south towards the warmer sands. This weekend you can escape and miss two snowstorms in the Southeast.
