“Of the 117 with hospitalization data entered, 11 were hospitalized, 103 were not hospitalized and three are reported as unknown,” said Sutfin.

The three people who died were 65 or older and two “were three weeks after the vaccination ended,” she said.

“Although the majority of the population develops full immunity within 14 days of completing their vaccine series, a small proportion seems to take longer to mount a complete antibody response. The CDC is actively working to better understand the risk characteristics of this group, ”she added.
