In January, Michigan hired the Ravens linebacker trainer Mike Macdonald as your new defensive coordinator. He brings Weiss on board after the former coach of defenders Ben McDaniels was not hired and recently became an offensive assistant for the Houston Texans.

Weiss just ended his 12th season as an assistant to the Ravens. He became the Baltimore running back coach in 2019.

Weiss started training with the cardinal after a four-year career as a player at Vanderbilt. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics.
