Michelle Branch revealed that she suffered a miscarriage on Christmas Day.
The 37-year-old singer took a series of photos to Instagram with her loved ones while mourning the challenging year.
In addition to her miscarriage, Michelle observed the attack on downtown Nashville on Christmas Day, which injured three people and affected more than 40 businesses in the area after a trailer exploded.

Michelle has a two-year-old son, Rhys James Carney, with husband Patrick Carney of The Black Keys.

She also shares her 15-year-old daughter Owen’s co-parenting responsibilities with ex-husband Teddy Landau.
Michelle wore a green crown when posing for photos with some of her loved ones on a single holiday, as many were separated from the family due to the COVID-19 pandemic and multiple requests to stay at home.
“But unfortunately, between the crying and the binge eating of Christmas cookies, I decided to put on lipstick and a dress,” she added.
