Michael B. Jordan gave a stock of Hermès to his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day

It seems that Michael B. Jordan is investing in his relationship.

While many people presented their lovers with traditional Valentine’s Day gifts, such as jewelry and chocolates over the weekend, the “Black Panther” star took things to the next level. Instead of simply buying his girlfriend, Lori Harvey, a leather bag or silk scarf from the Parisian fashion house Hermès, he bought her stock at Hermès International RMS,
+ 0.71%
instead of.

“The best gift ever … the baby bought me Hermes stock,” wrote Harvey in an Instagram story that took a peek at the certified ticket.

Harvey did not disclose how much she has now invested in the luxury brand. But if the rest of the Valentine’s Day weekend is any indication, Jordan didn’t skimp on his actions.

The “Creed” actor also rented an aquarium for a private tour, and a video showed an underwater tunnel decorated with flowers and candles. Jordan had a fancy dinner at the Japanese restaurant Nobu arranged with more candles and bouquets of roses in the aquarium, too.

He is not the first celebrity to make headlines by giving stock gifts. In 2017, Kanye West offered his wife, Kim Kardashian, a top-tier equity portfolio that included hundreds of thousands of dollars in shares from companies like Apple AAPL,
-1.61%,
Amazon AMZN,
-0.27%
and Netflix NFLX,
+ 0.14%.
“Best husband alert!” she posted at the time.
