Mia Farrow details how the relationship between Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn started at her home

The second installment of the HBO document series, Allen v. Farrow, that aired last night, showed that Mia Farrow and Woody Allen have very different visions of how their relationship with their daughter, Soon-Yi Previn, started – starting with details of the timeline to see if the inappropriate relationship started while Previn was in high school or college.

As Farrow admits, Previn struggled to bond with her, so she took steps as a mother to let her adopted daughter gain her trust. THE Rosemary baby the actress believed that Soon-Yi “would understand that I will be there to help her as long as she lives,” she said. While relationship difficulties were going on, Farrow also led Allen to bond with his youngest children, including Previn. “I really encouraged him to go with Soon-Yi too, because she was very shy,” she says. Allen found himself inviting her to activities he enjoyed, such as watching the New York Knicks basketball games. Farrow hoped that more time spent together would create a family unit; instead, it created chaos.

Farrow believes the case started when Previn was still a minor and was in high school, but Allen says he only started after his first semester in college in December 1991. No matter what the schedule, however, the relationship was wrong from the start and Allen is to blame, according to Farrow.

We were a family and he was at my home as my partner and, as such, had responsibilities. You can’t have sex with my kids. This is not part of the agreement. “

Allen married Previn in 1997 and later adopted two children, son Bechet, 22, and daughter Manzie, 21. A spokesman for the couple provided a statement to Deadline that denied all of Farrow’s allegations about their relationship and alleged abuse Allen’s sexual relationship with daughter Dylan Farrow. “These documentarians were not interested in the truth,” the statement said. “Instead, they spent years surreptitiously collaborating with the Farrows and their facilitators to put together an ax job riddled with falsehoods.”
