All Mets fans looked up from their lunches on Thursday to see Mets doing the highly successful move we all expected. Mets acquired Francisco lindor and Carlos Carrasco for Andres Gimenez, Amed Rosario, Josh Wolf and Isaiah Greene.
Mets’ first regret was recently re-signed as titleholder Marcus Stroman, who became very active in the timeline:
😳🤯🙌🏾 @ Lindor12BC https://t.co/xKlHEe9Xqi

Oh my God. COOKIE TOO !? AND @ Lindor12BC!? Let’s start this season now !!!!!!!!! @Cookie_Carrasco https://t.co/1o33iptdC8

At Noah Syndergaard said what almost all of us were thinking:
There must be a flaw in the matrix (rubs the eyes) https://t.co/bcJHU7ZdkM

Legend of the Mets Mike Piazza launched around a comparison with the Mets season of previous years:
Very excited by @Mets fans. This off-season has the same energy as ’98, ’99. Building a great team is very important, but you still have to prove it on the pitch. The work is just beginning. #LGM

Trevor May, who signed a two-year contract before the holiday, is as excited as Stroman:
COME ON.

New retreat James McCann joined the fray, showing his enthusiasm for the blockbuster business:
That’s great! 🔥🔥@ Lindor12BC @Cookie_Carrasco #LGM

And last but not least, the man in charge of everything, Steve Cohen, failed to break the character in his tweet:
I know this trade seems to create enthusiasm, but let’s get back to what matters – the black t-shirts

In the current era of technology and social media, it is more apparent than ever that players and staff are just as excited about a big exchange as fans, and it is good to have a team with as much enthusiasm and energy.
