The New York Mets announced Friday they revised their spring training schedule, with all 24 exhibition games taking place in March.
The Mets will start their program with a start at 1:05 pm against the Miami Marlins on Monday, March 1st. Spring will end on Monday, March 29, with a 12:05 start against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Mets will face just four teams this spring. In addition to the Marlins and Cardinals, they will also have fights against Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.
Tickets for pre-ordering a single game for Spring Training ticket holders will be next Tuesday, February 16 at 10am, followed by tickets for a single game for the Mets season on Thursday , February 18th at 10am. On February 20, tickets for a single Spring Training game will go on sale to the general public, according to a team press release.
Clover Field, site of the Mets spring training and home of the Single-A St. Lucie Mets, will operate at 20% capacity this spring (about 1,400 fans) in cooperation with the social distance rules. Tickets can be purchased for 1 to 6 people, and they will be seated in “pods”, two meters away from other groups of fans.
Fans should wear masks or facial covers over their nose and mouth at all times, unless they are eating or drinking drinks in their respective seats. There will be social distance markers throughout the stadium and hand sanitizer will be readily available.
Tickets range from $ 15 to $ 35.
