Meridian Waste closes second acquisition in South Carolina

GREENVILLE, SC – Meridian Waste, an integrated non-hazardous solid waste services company, announced today that it has closed the purchase of a second acquisition in the Greater Greenville, SC market, while densifying transportation operations in the seven states of the company’s operational footprint.

The acquisition includes Ace Environmental Holdings, LLC, located in Greer, SC. Earlier this week, the company announced the acquisition of Sunrise Sanitation, Inc. located in Easley, SC. The terms of both asset purchase the agreements remain private. South Carolina’s second acquisition marks Meridian Waste’s fifteenth acquisition since the company’s transition to private equity under the ownership of Warren Equity Partners (WEP) in April 2018.

The assets acquired from Ace Environmental Holdings, LLC, include a construction and demolition (C&D) debris transfer station located at 512 Cherokee Road in Pelzer, SC, and a transportation facility located at 315 Buncombe Street in Greer serving residential, commercial and government contracts in the Greer, Greenville and Spartanburg, SC markets. The Greer unit will serve as the main transportation company for Meridian Waste, which houses the rolling stock and administrative functions of the combined companies. Former Ace Environmental Holdings owner Steve Serafino and the organization’s employees transitioned to the Meridian Waste team after the acquisition was closed.
