Mercedes-Benz EQS MBUX Hyperscreen Revelation

Mercedes-Benz’s EQS may still take a few years, but the German automaker has been working hard on the project and has just revealed one of its new innovative creations for the luxury EV: the MBUX Hyperscreen.

Spanning an impressive 56 inches, the entire screen will replace the conventional instrument panel and infotainment system using 12 actuators and a series of OLEDs under a Gorilla Glass anti-glare touch surface, all equipped with eight CPU cores and 24 GB of RAM.

While it is undoubtedly a futuristic way to display everything from your speedometer to your music playlist or GPS navigation, the main highlight of MBUX Hyperscreen is its AI features. Mercedes-Benz says the system will “proactively” suggest “the right functions at the right time” with “context-aware awareness” that is optimized by observing changes in the surroundings, as well as in user behavior. Suggested features may include calling a particular contact if he knows that you are normally talking on the phone to him while driving or adjusting the ground clearance of your car, depending on your location.

MBUX Hypserscreen is set to debut alongside EQS, which is scheduled to be launched between 2022 and 2023.
