Meghan McCain attacks Chris Cuomo and ‘a brother’s ghoul’ for CNN’s ‘comedy programs’ amid a nursing home scandal

“The View” co-host Meghan McCain attacked CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on Monday for what she called “comedy shows” he conducted with his brother, New York Democratic governor Andrew Cuomo, last year amid the nursing home scandal.

Chris Cuomo, along with CNN, made an unprecedented effort to minimize and deflect controversies surrounding the New York governor, with the far-left network giving developments to the nursing home scandal with little or no airtime – while granting “Cuomo Prime A Time” offers free rein to conduct friendly and comical interviews with the governor plagued by scandals in the first months of the coronavirus pandemic.

On Monday, the anchor attacked McCain because of a viral clip of comments she made on “The View” in which she criticized the White House medical consultant, Dr. Anthony Fauci, about the vaccine schedule and the uncertainty of when Americans would be Americans at their age and health support will be eligible to be vaccinated.

“The fact that I, Meghan McCain, co-host of ‘The View’, do not know when or how I will be able to get a vaccine because the distribution of my age group and my health is very nebulous, I have no idea when or how I will be able to get it, “McCain said.

“???” Cuomo reacted on Twitter.

McCain responded by hitting the anchor and his brother and asking the New York governor to apologize to families who lost loved ones in state nursing homes during the pandemic, including Fox News senior meteorologist Janice Dean.

“You and your ghoul brother were doing comedy shows with gigantic hints of what to do about your sex life while covering the death toll in nursing homes in New York,” McCain told the CNN host. “Why doesn’t your brother finally apologize to @JaniceDean and the other family members he helped kill?”

There has been growing criticism of CNN’s Cuomo for avoiding the nursing home scandal. Last week, CNN said its anchor was barred from covering his relative and admitting that the network’s leaders suspended the “rule” in the first months of the pandemic for the presenter to conduct his friendly fraternal interviews.

Governor Cuomo’s administration is reportedly under investigation by the FBI and the US Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn after critics accused authorities of covering up the true number of deaths in COVID nursing homes in the state. At the beginning of the pandemic, the governor ordered assisted health centers to accept COVID-positive patients in order to keep hospital beds free.
