Meghan Markle wore a $ 30 dress to chat with Prince Harry, James Corden

The Duchess of Sussex surprised her in a blue dress and pendant matching for a quick video chat on Thursday’s episode of “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”

Meghan Markle appeared briefly during the James Corden segment with Prince Harry, after the TV host insisted that they call the duchess outside the “Prince of Bel-Air” house. Corden took Harry home as part of a tour of Los Angeles, and even managed to get the royals to rap for the lyrics to the 90’s series theme song while they were there.

“Give me your phone. How do I find the Duchess?” Corden asked Harry before using his phone to call Markle.

“I think this is where you should live,” Corden said to the duchess when she answered the phone. “You would be the Cool Princess of Bel-Air.”

Markle appeared on the screen in a $ 30 puff-sleeved Velvet Torch dress. The Los Angeles-based boutique confirmed that the duchess was wearing her smocked dress in a shared Instagram post on Friday.

“So it happened today !!” the brand wrote on Instagram.

At the time of this writing, Velvet Torch’s puffed-sleeve dress sold out in blue at Nordstrom Rack and on the brand’s website. However, a Velvet Torch representative told Insider that they are now taking orders and the dress will be shipped until March 15. A similar style in black from the same brand is also available on the Nordstrom Rack in extra-small to extra-large sizes.

Markle completed her look with a matching blue necklace and natural makeup.

The Duchess also revealed her nickname to Harry during the video call.

“Haz, how’s your LA tour going?” Markle asked Harry.

“Haz? I didn’t know we were calling you ‘Haz’ right now,” said James.

“You are not my wife, so …” Harry replied, before calling the TV presenter “the worst tour guide in LA.”

Corden joked that he was Harry’s only tour guide – royalty said earlier in the interview that it was his first time on a sightseeing tour – and therefore also the best.

During the interview, Harry also talked about his relationship with Markle, moving away from real life, Archie da Rainha’s Christmas present and his thoughts on Netflix’s “The Crown”, among other topics.
