Meghan Markle says the royal family had ‘concerns’ about her son’s skin color

Meghan Markle revealed on Sunday night that members of the royal family discussed with Prince Harry how dark his son’s skin could be.

“There were also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he was born,” said Markle in his interview with Oprah.

She claimed that “several” members of the royal family talked to Harry about Archie’s potential skin color.

Asked about the conversation later in the interview, Harry refused to elaborate much further.

“This conversation I will never share, but at the time it was awkward, I was a little shocked,” he said.

But he felt that the discussion about “what the kids will be like” came “right from the start” of the relationship.

The first son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archie was born in May 2019.

The Sussex are expecting their second child and have revealed that it will be a girl on Sunday night.
