Meghan Markle says royals are perpetuating falsehoods

“I don’t know how they could hope that we would still be silent.”

Meghan, who joined Prince Harry for the revealing interview, expressed how she felt the royal family played a role in spreading falsehoods about the couple.

In a new clip from the interview, Meghan says she does not “know how they could expect that after all this time we would still be silent when there is an active role that the Firm is playing in perpetuating lies about us”.

She added that even if your honesty comes with the “risk of losing things”, there is “a lot that has already been lost”.

The clip’s release comes just days after a report in The Sunday Times said Meghan allegedly bullied members of the Kensington Palace staff, citing unidentified sources, as well as emails from palace officials.

Meghan’s representative denied the allegations, saying, “The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been bullied and is deeply committed to supporting those who have gone through pain and trauma.”

Meanwhile, Meghan’s and Harry’s lawyers released their own statement, accusing The Sunday Times of “being used by Buckingham Palace to spread a totally false narrative”.

Although the Palace says it will start an investigation into the allegations, people close to Meghan and Harry are suspicious of the timing of the bullying report.

It is unclear how much Meghan and Harry will reveal in the two-hour special, but it will certainly be a revelation for the couple’s experience with real life.
