Meghan Markle, Prince Harry replaces royal monogram: report

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly replaced the royal monogram of their stationery with the Archewell logo – an apparent nod to the Queen’s decision to prevent the couple from returning to public service.

The Duchess of Sussex wrote a letter to a British school to mark International Women’s Day, which she sent the day after the couple’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Daily Express reported.

In the letter – which features stylized A and W in a black oval – Markle recalled visiting students at Robert Clark School last year, when she and Harry returned to the UK to end their royal duties.

“We had a very special delivery this week. It was lovely to share this letter and advice with the students and to remember our celebrations of International Women’s Day last year ”. the school said on Twitter, where he posted an image of the letter.

Last month, Buckingham Palace confirmed that former royals would have to give up their official sponsorships and that Harry would have to return his honorary military titles to the crown.

Although the couple retained their titles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they cannot use them in connection with their future work, according to Express.

“It was at that time, a year ago, that I had the pleasure of meeting so many of you during my visit to celebrate International Women’s Day and mark the 50th anniversary of the Equal Pay Act,” wrote Markle in the letter.

“I remember that day with such good memories and I think of all of you often, especially recognizing how difficult it was for students and their families during the past year,” she added.

Asked about royal monograms and who can use them, expert Iain MacMarthanne told Express last year: “Monograms are used by all members of the Royal Family, whether it is an individual letter or, when a couple, both letters intertwine.

“As things stand today, should Charles become king, the Duke of Sussex would continue to be able to use this monogram,” he said.

“However, depending on what is subsequently agreed, given the withdrawal of [Sussexes] real duties, that can change. Only time will tell, ”added MacMarthanne.
