Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have one last fight to deal with after stepping out of their roles as senior royalty, and it won’t be easy. After serving 10 years in the British Army, Harry cares more about his honorary military titles than anything else, and that can be taken from him permanently by Queen Elizabeth.
In the original Megxit 2020 contract, these titles were put on hold with the Queen reviewing the idea in one year to see if Prince Harry could keep them or they would be gone forever. Now that the year is almost over, he is ready to campaign to get them back. “His military work is one of the most important things for him,” said a source to the Telegraph. “Of course he wants to keep them.”

With the next virtual meeting in March, it appears that Queen Elizabeth is not interested in his opinion. The couple cannot have everything they want – the benefits of senior royalty and a private life outside the monarchy. The source says the Queen does not want them to “have a foot in, a foot out” when it comes to the monarchy, and depriving Prince Harry of the one aspect he loves in his real life is a way of controlling the situation.

Even though some names, including Prince William, were thrown into the ring to possibly take on Harry’s honorary titles, he will defend his case to his grandmother at the next meeting. He may have a trick up his sleeve now that he recently won his defamation case against Mail on Sunday and Mail Online, who claimed to have abandoned the army for his American life with Meghan. He won a significant amount of money after the court ruled in his favor.
“The duke’s commitment to the men and women who put their lives at risk, to those who made the last sacrifice for their country and to military families is firm and unquestionable,” said his lawyer, Jenny Afia, in the lawsuits for Maria Clara.
Will Queen Elizabeth accept this argument from her favorite grandson? The couple made significant efforts to become financially independent and paid their debt, but it may not be enough for a family that believes in real duty above all.
