Drum roll, please: I’ve been bringing great news about: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who have just shared a little Valentine’s Day surprise through a spokesman. What is it?? We will! It looks like we have another celebrity on the way:
We can confirm that Archie will be an older brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very happy to be expecting their second child.
The pregnancy announcement came along with a black and white photo of the couple, “taken remotely via iPad by her longtime friend and photographer, Misan Harriman”, by People. Although the spokesman did not indicate a due date for delivery, Meghan’s baby’s belly is visible in the photo, for which she would have recycled a Carolina Herrera dress from her first pregnancy.
Meghan gave birth to her and Harry’s first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in May 2019. In November, she revealed in New York Times op-ed that she aborted over the summer. “Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable pain, experienced by many, but spoken by a few,” she wrote, adding: “When we are invited to share our pain, together we take the first steps towards healing”.
Shortly after the Sussex went public, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said People that the royal family is excited about this development. “His Majesty, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the whole family are ‘delighted’ and wish them well,” said the spokesman for the Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Charles, specifically.
According to E !, Meghan and Harry have kept the news to themselves because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and, mainly, are hiding in their home in Santa Barbara. They are also busy building their media domain – Netflix! Podcasting! – in their new non-senior real life, and they generally look very happy these days. And we are happy for them! As usual, our biggest and most sincere congratulations on the next baby.
