Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have hijacked peace talks with the monarchy when talking about private chats with CBS’s Gayle King – a move condemned by the royal biographer as a “shocking breach of trust”, according to a report.
King, 66, on Tuesday openly discussed their weekend call with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying that they were still upset and frustrated and that Harry’s conversations with his father and brother “were not productive”.
Real sources told the Mirror that private conversations openly discussed and used against them “would cause alarm”.
“This type of behavior can have major implications for trust between the fields that are advancing,” said the source.
Royal biographer Penny Junor also told the paper that King’s unexpected revelations can only make other royals more cautious in their approach to fixing the royal crack.
“It’s a shocking breach of confidence,” said Junor of the Sussex, repeating his private conversations with a TV journalist.
“The family will be concerned that anything they say to Harry will end up on American television.”
Buckingham Palace sources insisted that the monarchy would not play in the same currency and would also reveal negative news about attempts at reconciliation.
“None of the families – the Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – will comment on private conversations,” a palace source told Mirror.
