Megan Rapinoe reacts to Alabama tribute RB Najee Harris: ‘Hurdle someone for me’

News of Najee Harris’s tribute to Megan Rapinoe reached the star of the United States Women’s Football Team on Tuesday night.

Earlier in the day, the Alabama running back explained during a press conference before the No. 1 presentation at the Rose Bowl against Notre Dame on Friday why he gives Rapinoe his cap.

“Really all the things she stands for,” said Harris, for AL.com. “She is a feminist and like women, how women in the world are treated unfairly and how they earn different and different things than men. She defends all of that. I like how she does it. And obviously the social injustice that happens, it plays a role in all of this. “

On Tuesday night, Rapinoe again tweeted the video of Harris’ comments with a message for the running back.

“Najeeeee Roll Tide !!!!! (did I do it right?) Be great, take those roses and run over someone for me! ”She tweeted.

Alabama plays against Notre Dame at 3 pm CT Friday in the Rose Bowl semifinal.

Harris is among the six Crimson Tide players nominated for The Associated Press All-America team, joining quarterback Mac Jones, receiver DeVonta Smith, tackle Alex Leatherwood, central Landon Dickerson and cornerback Patrick Surtain II gives Crimson Tide has six first team selections, most in the nation.
