TMS Entertainment revealed a new teaser trailer for the Megalobox anime sequel on Thursday. The trailer reveals the anime title as Megalobox 2: Nomad, and reveals the return of the anime cast, crew, and April television debut date in Tokyo MX and BS11.

In the end, Joe “Gearless” reigned as the champion of Megalonia, a first Megalobox tournament. Fans everywhere were mesmerized by Joe’s meteoric rise, which leapt from the deepest underground ring to the top in just three months and without the use of equipment. Seven years later, “Gearless” Joe was once again fighting underground fights. Adorned with scars and once again wearing his equipment, but now known only as Nomadic…
Returning cast members include Yoshimasa Hosoya like Joe /Nomadic, Shiro Saito like Gansaku Nanbu, Hiroki Yasumoto like Yuri, and Michiyo Murase like Sachio.
Returning team members include the director Your moriyama, top writers Katsuhiko Manabe and Kensaku Kojima, and composer manbanua. Ayumi Kurashima (DEVILMAN crying baby) is replacing Hiroshi Shimizu as a character designer, and Naomi Kaneda (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood guest character designs) is also the new sub-character designer.
The first 13 episode anime debuted in TBS in April 2018, and Crunchyroll broadcast the series as soon as it aired. The series’ English to bend debuted on Swimming for Adultsin Toonami in December 2018. The program’s home video releases in Japan featured new anime shorts. Viz Media licensed the anime and released it on home video in June 2019.
The anime celebrates the 50th anniversary of Ikki Kajiwara (pseudonym Asao Takamori) and Tetsuya Chibain Ashita at Joe manga, and features an original story. In the new story, a man named JD (Junk Dog) participates in fixed boxing matches in an underground ring to live. Today, he enters the ring again, but meets a certain person. JD wants to face a challenge that risks everything.
