Mega Millions lottery jackpot rises to $ 432 million, with no winner in New Year’s Day draw

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot grew to $ 432 million in Tuesday night’s draw after no tickets matched all six of Friday night’s winning numbers – the first major lottery draw in 2021.

A ticket sold in Texas corresponded to the five white balls, but not the Mega golden ball, according to the official Mega Million website. So that ticket is worth $ 1 million.

Across the country, 31 tickets from Friday’s draw won a $ 10,000 prize, with tickets corresponding to four white balls plus the Mega gold ball, the lottery said. In addition, 741 tickets won $ 500 each to match four white balls.

The winning numbers in the Friday night draw (01/01/2021) were 8, 24, 53, 68 and 69. The golden Mega number was 7, and the Megaplier was 5x.

The next draw takes place at 11 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday, January 5. The estimated cash value of the $ 432 million jackpot will be around $ 329.7 million.

The last time a lottery player won the Mega Millions grand prize was on September 15, 2020, when a $ 120 million ticket was sold in Wisconsin. Two major jackpots were hit in New Jersey in 2020; an anonymous winner won the $ 202 million prize on February 11 with a ticket sold at Edison, and a $ 124 million ticket was purchased in Bayonne for the July 24th draw.
