Mega Ampharos is here! A surprise drop at the start of the Hoenn event saw Mega Ampharos suddenly appear in raids. In addition to the Mega Ampharos, we will also have an Incense Day with Mareep.
Date + time
- Mega Ampharos will arrive at Mega Raids starting on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 10:00 am local time.
- Sunday, January 24, 2021, from 11 am to 5 pm local time, for Mareep Incense Day featuring Electric and Dragon like spawns.

‘You will be able to enjoy an Incense Day event with Electric Pokémon, Dragon Pokémon and more! During this event, Incense will attract more Mareep, and you can even find a Shiny Mareep if you’re lucky! Evolve Flaaffy (the evolved form of Mareep) during the event to obtain an Ampharos that knows the former Community Day exclusive attack, Dragon Pulse! ‘
Like Mareep, different Pokémon will be attracted to Incense at different times. The spawns will rotate between Electric and Dragon type themes.
- 11 am – 1 pm: Electric Pokémon
- From 1 pm to 2 pm: Dragon type Pokémon and Pokémon that evolve into Dragon type Pokémon
- 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Electric Pokémon
- 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm: Dragon-type Pokémon and Pokémon that evolve into Dragon-type Pokémon
Electric type hours
During periods when there are Pokémon of the electric type, you can find Pikachu, Magnemite, Voltorb, Chinchou, Mareep, Plusle and Minun. If you’re lucky, you can find a Stunfisk!
Dragon Type Hours
During Dragon type hours, Dragon type Pokémon and Pokémon that evolve into Dragon type Pokémon will be attracted to Incense, including Horsea, Dratini, Mareep, Trapinch, Vibrava and Swablu. If you’re lucky, you can find a Bagon!

While it may not be great in terms of being a Dragon type attacker, can be a Electric type for attacks like a Mega.
