MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The first baby from the Twin Cities of 2021 was born not long after the clock struck midnight.
M Health Fairview St. John’s in Maplewood welcomed John Robert Hennessey at 12:27 pm. It weighs 6 pounds and 11 ounces.

“He looks like a really relaxed and relaxed little baby,” said his mother, Melissa Hennessey. “We are excited to have a little sleepy cosiness to take home to our family. I think we are all looking forward to entering the new year with a sense of peace and calm, and so far little John has certainly exhibited this calming presence for us! “
Melissa and her husband Chris Hennessey chose to call their son John in honor of Melissa’s great-grandfather, John J. McDonough. He was a former mayor of St. Paul.
