Part of the fun of the main series Pokémon games is the wisdom of each species, which Pokémon GO recreates with short descriptions in your Pokédex entries. However, looking at the roles these Pokémon play in other games, and even in the anime, can enrich the experience of hunting these creatures in the Niantic mobile game. In honor of today’s Fletchling Community Day, we will delve deeply into the history of this Pokémon and also explore some of the evolutionary movements of Talonflame.
Dex entry number 661, Fletchling is a normal / flying double species from the Kalos region, introduced in the world of Pokémon with the sixth generation. This Pokémon can be found as male or female. Called “Pokémon Tiny Robin”, Dex de Fletchling says:
These friendly Pokémon send signals to each other with beautiful chirps and tail feathering.
Fletchling is the first stage of a three-stage evolutionary line. It evolves into Fletchinder, which loses Normal typing in exchange for a double Fire / Flying typing. So, Fletchinder evolves into Talonflame, which retains the Fire / Flying type and is known as a very powerful species. Fletchling, probably in honor of an arrow and a newborn bird, was designed by Saya Tsuruta, who is known mainly as an illustrator of the Pokémon TCG.
